How do I check-in for my vacation stay?

We look forward to welcoming you to your stay with check-in beginning at 3:00pm.  Earlier check in may be available if requested.  We will leave your cabin door unlocked and your key on the table.  Please call us at 970-944-2205 to let us know you have arrived or if you need assistance with parking or getting into or locating your cabin.NOTE: There is NO OFFICE.  Please call 970-944-205 or text 405-919-3256 for assitance.  My phone is turned off until 8:30 each morning.  If you have an emergencey between midniht and 8:30 you will need to pound on my door of the middle cabin (Columbine)  near the parking entrance.

Where do I park?

Wildflower Cabins offers guests free off-street parking near your cabin (2 spaces per cabin). Trailer parking is available on a first come first serve basis on site.  Please see host for a trailer parking space assignment. If additional parking is needed, we will make every effort to find other options for you.

Question 3

Can I use the fire pits?

Please feel free to start a fire in the fire pit located in the corner near the Primrose Cabin. Our neighbor to the sout h at High Altitude usually has fir wood for sale (the stores and the Outpost also sell firewood.  If you need assistance, we are here to help. Due to wildfire concerns please fully extinguish all fires, if they will be unattended.   Also, everyone MUST observe "no burn" restrictions.  There will signage posted when we are under a burn ban.

Where should I eat while I'm in Lake City?

Lake City is a small community but we have some fantastic places to eat!   The resturaunts are not always consistent with their hours.  I recommend calling ahead  after you choose a spot to make sure they will be open for you.  See your cabin guide for some amazing restaurant choices.

Do you have a listing of things to do in the area?

Accepted Answer

Yes, each room or cabin has a guide prepared especially for Wildflower Cabin guests that lists places to eat, things to do and see while you are here. There are many opportunities for outdoor adventures including kayaking, hiking, fishing, swimming, hunting, biking, off-road trails to explore and more.  There are two resturaunts that offer live music one night per week (Packers on Monday and Chillins on Friday). A ghost tour is available on most Fridays.   The mueseum is worth visiting if you enjoy history.   The mine tour on Engineer Pass is quite interesting.  There are three parks in town (one a block off Gunnison Ave. (dog friendly), one on Silver Street (no dogs allowed), and a dog park (Bluff st. south of 1st st). Can I bring kids?

Children under the age of 5 are welcome in any room with their parents free of charge. Children 5yrs+ of age are welcome in any room; however, they will count toward the max occupants established for each room.  PLEASE supervise children closely around the parking lot.

Question 7

Do I need to bring anything special?

Accepted Answer

You might need to bring bug spray and sunscreen. Most people like to bring an ice chest and you will also need to bring any personal items you might need, food, drinks, etc. We also recommend having a jacket for the cool mountain temperatures.  If you have a side by side you must purchase a Colorado trail sticker for $25 avaialbe on-line,  at Sportsman and Lake City Auto.  Children under 18 must be in a car seat or they must wear helmts.

Do you have a sitting area and BBQ grills?

Yes, each cabin has a charcoal grill you are welcome to use. You can also enjoy our common area picnic tables and fire pit located in front of Primrose Cabin located in the back corner. Enjoy the beautiful outdoors and hopefully make a few friends!

Can I bring Pets?

Accepted Answer

All of our cabins are dog friendly.  There is a fee of $50 per stay. Maximum is 2 dogs per cabin. Dogs must be kept on leash when outdoors and may not be left unattended in the room unless crated. Please keep your pets off the beds and furniture. Pet damage to carpets, linens, and furniture will result in a $250 cleaning fee (minimum) being charged to your payment method on file. Structural damage will result in repair fees based on actual cost to complete the repairs.   We do have two dog crates available if you need to borrow one and we have blankets and couch covers for pets that are accustomed to being on the furniture.  Please ask for one if needed.  If the furniture, carpet, or linens are left exceptionally covered in fur we may charge an additonal fee of $40 per hour to cover the cost of our clenaing staff's additional time.  Note;  We only have five hours to prepare all the cabins for the next guest so we MUCH prefer to provide pet protection supplies.

Can I get a full refund, if I cancel?

The first night of your reservation is non-refundable.  The remaining portion is refundable if you cancel at leaast 30 prior to your scheduled arrival date.

Is WiFi available?

Accepted Answer

All cabins have access to Starlink WiFi.  Our cabins are all equipped with smart tvs.  So bring your streaming logins with you.  We no longer provide Dish Network due to the fact the service for repairs takes weeks.
